We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a long-term contract position within the retail industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to efficient payment processes and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to verify vendor payments.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and matching.
• Apply applicable discounts to vendor payments and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain detailed accounts payable records, reports, and corporate files.
• Support monthly closing activities by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
• Execute administrative tasks and assist with other duties as required.
• Monitor and adhere to internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Proficiency in performing three-way matching and familiarity with accounts payable processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle Fusion, QuickBooks, or SAP is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Solid typing and 10-key skills to support efficient data entry.
• Ability to adapt to flexible work hours and occasional overtime as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining good attendance and reliability.
