We are looking for:

  • The Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for managing industrial hygiene programs at California Composite Material facilities which includes laboratories, processing areas, a pilot plant, and a maintenance departments at the Anaheim, Orange, and D Aircraft sites.
  • This position will report to the HSE Manager and will be based in Anaheim, CA.
  • This role will focus on industrial hygiene programs but will be part of the Health, Safety, and Environmental team and will be expected to support Safety and Environmental activities as needed.

We count on you for:

  • Manage the Industrial Hygiene programs including the chemical hygiene plan, chemical risk assessments, exposure monitoring, respiratory protection and hearing conservation programs, ergonomics, etc.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all federal, state and local legislated regulations.
  • Develop and implement environmental, safety, and health procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement of health and safety programs.
  • Participate on the facility’s site safety committee, Emergency Response Team and lead other committees as needed.
  • Develop and provide safety and health training to facility employees and contractors and maintain records and other related documentation in association with this training.
  • Perform daily / routine field observations to identify unsafe conditions, at-risk behaviors, and environmental issues.
  • Review and authorize safe work permits as necessary
  • Lead incident investigations, develop and track corrective actions
  • Provide necessary support to maintain site RCMS RC14001 certification.

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Public Health, or other related scientific field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a laboratory or chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or ability to attain certification within 1 year of hire
  • Knowledge and experience in worker exposure monitoring, OSHA PEL, NIOSH, and ANSI standards and guidelines
  • Knowledge of IH exposure evaluation technologies, personal protective equipment, and engineering control measures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well within all levels of the organization
  • Organized and able to maintain field documentation and other records
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Collaborative and solution focused.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Willingness to accept, and put feedback into action

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,560 to $113,526 per year.
  • Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
  • Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

Additonal Information:
