Job Summary

HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has an opening for an experienced and energetic Certified Crane Operator, the qualified candidate will be based in Pennsylvania. Some travel will be a requirement for the position.

Main Responsibilities

Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects.
Plan all lifts and take complete charge of all safety pertaining to set up and knockdown, operation of crane and proper use of capacity charts.
Perform rigging inspection and daily equipment inspection.
Respond accordingly to both hand and verbal commands from rigger or helpers.
Observe the travel of all loads and take appropriate action to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property.
Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.

Education

Must have 3 years' experience
Must have construction experience
Valid driver's license with clean driving history
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred

Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Ability to work with a team and in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance, use hands to move and manipulate objects, and communicate (talk and hear)
Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
Frequent exposure to loud noise, all outdoor weather conditions, dust, fuel, oil, other chemicals, and airborne particles
Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
Abides by company safety and drug/alcohol testing requirements
