General Summary: This position is responsible to provide operational support in mitigation efforts for clients. Qualified candidates must possess ability to perform tasks related to Water Pumping and Extraction, Mold Remediation, and will be required to use a variety of specialized equipment under supervision. This position is the level 1 in the Progressive Water Damage track.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Water pumping and extraction
Mold remediation
Moving & re-setting contents
Setting drying equipment
Antimicrobial applications as appropriate
Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
Maintaining vehicles in clean serviceable condition
Constructing polyethylene enclosures
Removing and disposing of debris
Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks
Additional other duties as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to take direction from Team Leader
Learn and understand MSDS protocols for chemicals used during mitigation processes
Perform Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean serviceable condition
Must maintain attention to detail
Demonstrate familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book
Under Supervision -- demonstrate understanding and appropriate usage of scratch and squeegee wand, weighted drag wand, weighted extractor, water claw, portable extraction unit and appropriate legal water discharge and drain systems.
Under Supervision - Build proper containments, using proper calculation and usage of equipment (Neg Air, HEPA vacuum)
Proper use of cleaning/disinfectant solutions and removal techniques of debris from contained areas.
Under Supervision - Use of proper lifting techniques, use of slide pads, use of Styrofoam blocks, care and protection of customer personal belongings
Under Supervision -- properly remove vapor barriers, remove and label salvageable trim, create air flow holes, install an Injectidry system, Directed-In system and Octi-Dry system, use non-penetrating and penetrating meters
Will be required to meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property
Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Will participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Will be required to work nights and weekends as requested and travel periodically
Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately
Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
Basic knowledge in auto and equipment mechanics and maintenance schedules;
Familiar with proper use of hand and power tools;
Certified Forklift and Boom/Lift Operator;
Skilled to drive a box truck, a vehicle with a flat or box trailer
Comfortable working at heights ranging up to 15+ feet.
Qualifications:
Must be able to identify Product (consumables), usage and disposal requirements with training
Must have knowledge of various pump systems
Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy
Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
English language literacy and fluency
Ability to use mobile devices for collection of data and time.

Current valid Class E Drivers License or equivalent for the state in which the employee lives

Current and sufficient liability insurance for personal vehicle

Working Conditions:
Generally working conditions of wet, dirty, sooty and at times moldy environments; susceptible to weather conditions and exposed, with property PPE equipment, to chemical and damaged structural elements.
