Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is looking for self-starting, team-oriented Full-Stack Application Software Engineers, to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on large-scale enterprise application systems for Space Domain purposes using web technologies, distributed computation, as well as sophisticated, cloud technologies, frameworks, and cutting-edge domain analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of software development and integration team focused on mission-unique software to be developed and integrated with existing and new cutting-edge capabilities.
Essential Functions:
- The Software engineer will perform the development and integration via industry best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system.
- The Software Engineer will provide mission application and framework development support.
- The Software Engineer participates in a development team that uses modern DevSecOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
- The Senior Software Engineer will help maintain and develop new capabilities to the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed.
- The ideal candidate will have the technical talent and desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies.
- The ideal candidate will provide on-the-job mentoring to junior engineers as needed.
Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with consent to CI Poly
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with Java, JEE object-oriented programming
- Experience with the Vue.js framework
- Experience with Microservices
- Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud
- Experience with Agile Software Development Process and Methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
- Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Spring Boot framework
- Experience with C++, or Python programming languages
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
- Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML
- Experience with unit testing
- Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Docker, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
- Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations.
- Knowledge of REST APIs
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado and New York State is $112,500 - $209,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
