Tax Analyst
We are looking for an experienced tax professional to join our Partnership Tax development team. As a Tax Analyst with Thomson Reuters, you will make an immediate impact on how our clients accomplish their work. You will participate in the design, development, and testing of our UltraTax CS product line using in-house development tools. In this role, you will collect, analyze, and prioritize requirements from various entities, including external taxing authorities and internal sources, to provide the most reliable tax software in the industry.

Role Summary:
As a Tax Analyst, you will utilize your tax knowledge and experience in a unique, flexible work environment, where the focus is on accomplishing goals rather than completing tasks. If you like to have control over your daily work and contribute as part of a team, then this opportunity may be for you. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Ann Arbor office.

About the Role
In this opportunity as Tax Analyst, you will:
Analyze tax forms and related laws to ensure our software is current
Implement changes to our existing tax software products
Test software products
Design the client interface, e.g. input screens, in our tax product
Write and/or communicate design and system flow specifications for software engineers
Write help documentation and work with technical writers to implement into the software
Provide assistance to our support team as they assist customers during peak season
About You
You're a fit for the role of Tax Analyst if your background includes:
Bachelor's degree required - in Accounting or equivalent
Two or more years of recent income tax experience, including partnership and/or S Corporation tax preparation experience
Extensive knowledge of tax requirements
Strong communication and computer skills
Additional Desired Experience:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
Experience with electronic filing of tax returns
State, city, and local income tax preparation
Experience with UltraTax CS software
