As the AMER FSI Banking Industry PDS you will be part of the Americas Industries Team, and owning & managing the Banking Partner business for Americas. Additional responsibilities include Banking Industry partner pipeline management, contributing to the Banking partner ecosystem strategy, managing strategic relationships with influential Technology (ISV), Consulting (G/SI), and driving CXO-level relationships with Banking’ customers, and partners.

You will possess the deep Banking industry background and/or consulting experience that enables you to engage at the CXO level with these life sciences customers and partners. You will demonstrate credibility as a Banking expert and interact with partners, enterprise customers and sales/field reps. The position also requires a strong technical acumen, along with working knowledge of the Banking consulting services landscape. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, solution selling, and partner engagement to help build and convey compelling value propositions for AWS customers through AWS Partners. You should also have a proven track record of influencing innovation through partners with prior solution and program successes. 6+ years industry work experience in a Line of Business (LoB) leadership role with a large FSI Banking company is strongly preferred.

Additional experience consulting or business development specifically with Banking companies is preferred.

Key job responsibilities

Be part of the Americas FSI Industry Team to drive the overall global AWS Banking partner strategy to our internal and external stakeholders including the AWS sales teams, partner sales, as well as media coverage and industry events.

Executing the Global Banking Partner strategic plan for the Americas which includes aligning with partner development managers and account managers who manage our top AWS technology and consulting companies.

Build C-level and Line of Business (LoB) relationships with our top Banking customers, and partners.

Execute go-to-market and routes-to-market plans that have clear and measurable ROI.

Represent the AWS Banking partner strategy internally and externally including presenting at Executive Briefings and Conferences.

Prioritize AWS investment in partners who focus on Banking, including leading startups, consulting companies, and established ISV/SaaS technology vendors.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
