Examples of Duties

  • Reports to the Acting Assistant Director of Workforce Development
  • Attend public meetings in person or virtually, including but not limited to community, municipality, and county government meetings
  • Performs research in advance of the meetings to have an understanding of the topics and agenda items 
  • Documents what is discussed at each meeting, including but not limited to agenda items, debates, decisions, names, provides summary and revisions for assigned meetings
  • Submits detailed summary reports to the coordinator works professionally at all times.

Typical Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • interest in promoting civic engagement; written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills using word processing software
  • Ability to use virtual meetings and social media platforms.

Supplemental Information

Must be available days, evenings, and weekends at locations in Atlantic and Cape May counties and any Atlantic Cape location.

This is a part time position requiring up to 20 hours per week and is Grant Funded through June 30, 2025. 

Paid sick leave in accordance with NJ Sick Leave Law

Defined Contribution Retirement Program (DCRP)
Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension. Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
