Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions on Azure and OCI, focusing on Linux-based workloads.
  • Lead migrations of applications, databases, and other workloads from on-premises environments to Azure and OCI.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, employing tools such as Shell, Python, or Perl to streamline cloud management tasks.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices in Linux environments, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure encryption and secure network protocols are employed where necessary.
  • Provide expertise and support in network architecture and services, including Virtual Networks, VPN, Load Balancers, and Network Security Groups.
  • Manage and maintain OCI environments, with a strong focus on networking, compute, and storage services (Experience in NetApp is a plus)
  • Integrate cloud systems with existing DevOps processes, ensuring seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and SOPs for cloud environments and deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members and participate in technical knowledge sharing. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in cloud computing and Linux administration.
  • Strong experience in Azure IaaS with emphasis on Linux environments.
  • Proven experience in migrating workloads to the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux scripting for automation (Shell, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux security best practices, including securing systems and data.
  • Good exposure to encryption techniques and secure network communication.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, and Docker.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and security standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Professional, and Linux Administration.
