    Growing and established company is looking for an excellent Staff Accountant in Mountain View, California (hybrid 3/2 after training in-office). The position involves handling a wide range of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Cash applications, Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger maintenance.


    Responsibilities

    • Carry out the accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and ensure they are correctly coded to the appropriate general ledger account.

    • Oversee the transaction booking related to checking accounts, including cash withdrawals, broker account activities, and non-cash transactions such as loan-associated purchases.

    • Maintain organized physical record retention systems, which includes filing documents into cabinets.

    • Perform account and bank reconciliations to verify all payments have been duly recorded and all accounts are balanced.

    • Assist in generating financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis to clients, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

    • Prepare and present Excel worksheets containing client financial data analysis, such as broker analysis and construction, or investment history spreadsheets.

    • Generate and update client cash reports for monthly client deliverables and in-house review of client disbursements.

    • Applicant should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar position.


    • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.


    • Applicant should have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.


    • The candidate must be familiar with the General Ledger.


    • Knowledge and experience in preparing Journal Entries is required.


    • The candidate should be capable of handling Month End Close procedures.


    • Proficiency in using QuickBooks is essential for this role.
