- Responsible for operational, tactical, and strategic purchasing activities for the assigned commodity area, including:
- Negotiating, updating prices, contracting etc...
- Scouting suppliers and proposing to regional / global responsible within the TCO approach
- Generating cost cutting projects and presenting to stakeholders and x-functions.
- Drive the price reduction process
- Negotiate for assigned suppliers with Key Account responsibility to drive best cost position of all BSH customer factories, and present to local and global the price updates.

Purchase materials, supplies, services at most favorable, sustainable, flexible and feasible terms.

- Initiate best cost country and localization initiatives, supporting cost benefit.
|
- Conduct capacity check activities to ensure availability of technical capacity allocated at local suppliers (global suppliers, where having key account responsibility)
|
- Support and Execute material group strategies and tailor supplier portfolio to BSH requirements, short and mid-term.
|
- Perform market research, scouting suppliers, new technologies (based on product / project requirements), etc...
|
- Negotiation power of >$20million, annually, for more than 1 factory. Act as a supplier key account with regional commodity management responsibility (US, MX, Canada or the Americas). This includes low/medium technical complexity components with high impact (such as raw materials Steel, plastic resin for Direct Materials and Real Estate, MRO, MaE and Marketing for Indirect Material)

- Prepare forecast and Business Plan 'premises' (assumptions) for the suppliers within their Key Account responsibility.

- Operational: Update price changes, resolve price discrepancies, maintain system maintenance, generate Request for orders (RFOs), system (TCNG/Coupa) tasks; initiate request for quote/request for proposal (RFQs/RfPs).

- Operational: regularly check supplier capacities to ensure reliable supply, act as an escalation level in critical supplier topics (capacity/supply/quality) and support task force teams

- Functional Leadership: Perform regular price negotiations based on bundling opportunities for the suppliers with Key Account responsibility
|
- Governance: Make and document all legal framework contracts; including perform supplier risk management tasks, supplier performance management, supplier financial health checks, collect documents to initiate and maintain new suppliers
|
- Tactical: Conduct bench-marking price of suppliers in and outside of existing portfolio. Negotiate price contracts, using relative tools to intensify competition between suppliers. Continuously following market prices (material, labor etc) and initiate price discussions based on agreed cost break down formulas. Generate cost break down review. Conduct benchmark activities of different suppliers, different commodities, markets and countries to optimize cost.

Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree (Technical or Business Field) - Required
- 5-7 Years of Experience (Procurement, or Supply Chain) - Required
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Advanced negotiating skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications
- SAP Knowledge - Preferred
- Basic knowledge level of interpersonal skills when working with complex teams
- Travel Percentage - 30%

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the maximum payout potential is 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
