Essential Duties
Perform maintenance on aircraft, including mechanical systems, and/or ground support equipment.
Repair, inspect and maintain structural, mechanical and electrical elements of the aircraft.
Knowledgeable in the use of and be able to train others in the use of a wide variety of diagnostics devices, computers, hand, and mechanical tools.
Provide oversight and have the ability to direct and train others in the completion of aircraft related maintenance tasks.
May include Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties.
Troubleshoot systems as required to meet customer needs.
Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.
Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
Maintain tool control. Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor. Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools.
Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.
The Aircraft Mechanic may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Validate the number of passengers, assist in loading/unloading of passengers, weigh bags and cargo, load the aircraft, secure freight and cargo.
Oversee aircraft fueling or lavatory servicing while at out-stations such as military bases or Fixed Based Operators (FBO).
Secure the aircraft while at out-stations for overnight parking.

If functioning as a Crew Safety Specialist, the following duties are applicable:
On operational missions, the Pilot in Command may assign duties to the CSS to carry out specified routine safety responsibilities and manage aft cabin safety requirements. In the event of an onboard emergency, CSSs are responsible for managing passenger safety and, if necessary, passenger evacuation. CSSs conduct cabin safety briefings.
A CSS:
Manages passenger accountability, loading, and departing.
Performs passenger safety briefings.
Opens, closes, and locks entrance doors.
Handles baggage, including on-loading, off-loading, and securing the baggage in the appropriate aircraft compartment.
Weighs, loads, and restrains cargo.
Ensures compliance with aircraft baggage and cargo limitations.
Supervises refueling and checking fuel and lubricant levels.
Receives and stows catering materials.
Assists the flight crew as required.
Conducts Daily and Transit Checks.
Performs aircraft maintenance as required, within capabilities.

Aircraft Mechanic (Avionics Tech) In addition to the duties prescribed by the General Aircraft Mechanic, the following are expected of an Avionics Technician:
The AVT must have available and be familiar with current specifications and technical data involving the maintenance procedures set forth by the manufacturer of the product undergoing maintenance as well as other forms of information such as FAA regulations, bulletins, etc.

Aircraft Mechanic (Aircraft Inspector) In addition to the duties prescribed by the General Aircraft Mechanic, the following are expected of an Aircraft Inspector:
AIs are responsible to the Chief Inspector I to ensure compliance with all procedures as appropriate to the duties listed below for any item inspected, repaired, overhauled, or altered by the contractor or subcontractors.
Performs quality inspections, required inspections, and incoming parts inspections as scheduled and/or tasked by the CI.
Documents the results of inspections and prepares maintenance and Aircraft Records necessary to provide analysis of individual aircraft reliability and the quality of maintenance performed.
Conducts follow-up inspections to ensure that any discrepancy or deviation from established maintenance procedures are prevented.
Updates and researches aircraft, engine, and component records and manuals, as necessary.
In consonance with maintenance personnel, assists in monitoring of the overall safety and cleanliness practices established for the hangar and work areas in general.

Aircraft Mechanic (Lead) In addition to the duties prescribed by the General Aircraft Mechanic, the following are expected of an AMT Lead:
The AMT Lead performs inspections and repairs and services and maintains the aircraft as directed. The AMT Lead is responsible for the condition and readiness of all aircraft.
Maintains fleet aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
Performs duties in a manner as to assure quality and safety levels of the highest standards as
prescribed by the FAR and this Manual.
Signs off for completed work with description of work accomplished, name, Airmans Certificate number, and date.
Has the authority to stop work, or order others to stop work, or to intervene in any maintenance
operation when, in their opinion, standard or safe procedures are not being followed.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The AMT Lead is responsible for individual job assignment and tracking for the Aircraft Mechanics, Logistics personnel, line personnel, and support services. Tasking is accomplished through Maintenance Control as directed by the AMT Senior Lead.

Aircraft Mechanic (Senior Lead) In addition to the duties prescribed by the General Aircraft Mechanic, the following are expected of an AMT Senior Lead:
The AMT Senior Lead performs inspections and repairs, services, and maintains the aircraft as directed. The AMT Supervisor is responsible for the condition and readiness of all aircraft, all support equipment, and all ancillary equipment/tools assigned on the contract.
Maintains fleet aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
Performs duties in a manner as to assure quality and safety levels of the highest standards as prescribed by the FAR and this Manual.
Signs off for complete work with description of work accomplished, name, Airmans Certificate number, and date.
Ensures ground support equipment, tools, and ancillary equipment are available and ready for use to support aircraft maintenance.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The AMT Senior Lead is responsible for team job assignments through the AMT Lead and ensuring tasking is accomplished by the most capable or qualified personnel available. Tasking is accomplished through Maintenance Control as ordered by the DOM. The AMT Senior Lead has the authority to stop work, or order others to stop work, or to intervene in any maintenance operation when, in their opinion, standard or safe procedures are not being followed.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Aircraft Mechanic (all)

Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members.
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
Ability to follow a process.
Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Ability to multi-task
Climbs on top of and down from aircraft using aircraft hand/foot holds, capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. overhead, on feet all day, walk up to 2 miles per day.
QC/QA experience preferred.

Required Qualifications
Aircraft Mechanic (General)

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification for a minimum of three years.
5+ years of aircraft maintenance on 737 Classis aircraft.
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.
May be required to travel domestically and internationally - US Passport required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. US Citizenship required.

If performing Crew Safety Specialist duties, the following qualifications are required:
CSSs must have successfully completed training for the aircraft type and passed a proficiency check. Knowledge and skills testing is part of the training package.
Training will include initial and annual recurrent training and testing.

Aircraft Mechanic (Avionics Technician)

An AVT must hold a current mechanic certificate with Airframe rating and have held this rating for a minimum of three years. AVTs must be familiar with all methods, techniques, and equipment used in their specialty to maintain the airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance, calibration, or alteration.

Aircraft Mechanic (Aircraft Inspector)

Holds a current mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings, with Inspection Authorization, having held these ratings for a minimum of three years.
Is familiar with all inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in the AIs specialty to determine the quality or airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance or alteration. The CI may authorize an AI to perform RII duties.
Maintains proficiency in the use of various types of inspection aids.
Has available and is familiar with current specifications involving inspection tolerance, limits, and procedures, as set forth by the manufacturer of the product undergoing inspection and other forms of inspection information, such as a Non-Destructive Inspection or structural, corrosion, fuel tank, and Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations inspection procedures.

Aircraft Mechanic (Lead)

Holds a current mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings, having held these ratings for a minimum of three years.
Is thoroughly familiar with all methods, techniques, and equipment used in the AMT Leads specialty to maintain the airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance or alteration.
Has available and is familiar with current specifications and technical data involving the maintenance procedures set forth by the manufacturer of the product undergoing maintenance as well as other forms of information, such as FAA ADs, SBs, etc.

Aircraft Mechanic (Senior Lead)

Holds a current mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings and have held these ratings for a minimum of three years.
Is thoroughly familiar with all methods, techniques, and equipment used in the AMT Senior Leads specialty to maintain the airworthiness of an article or ready for use designation of ground support equipment, tools, and ancillary equipment which may be undergoing maintenance or alteration.
Has available and is familiar with current specifications and technical data involving the maintenance procedures set forth by the manufacturer of the product undergoing maintenance as well as other forms of information, such as FAA ADs, SBs, etc.
