Job Description

Job Summary:
Alta Vista Locker is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout our meat processing facility. The Cleaner plays a critical role in ensuring a hygienic environment that meets USDA, FSIS, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize processing areas, equipment, tools, and floors according to established sanitation procedures and SSOPs

• Properly handle and use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Remove waste and dispose of it according to company and regulatory guidelines

• Clean restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas daily

• Maintain cleaning logs and documentation as required by food safety and regulatory standards

• Perform deep-cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis or as directed

• Communicate any safety or maintenance issues to management promptly

• Follow all safety, hygiene, and biosecurity protocols

Qualifications:

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience in a food or manufacturing facility preferred

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Comfortable working in cold or wet environments and around raw meat products

• Must be dependable and able to work independently or with a team

• Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and carrying items up to 50 lbs

Work Environment:

• This role requires working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment that may include exposure to cold, wet, or loud conditions.
