The Opportunity

This position works out of our Orlando, FL location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business.  Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World’s greatest healthcare challenges.

As the Program Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the schedule, budget (if applicable) and details of a given task are well organized. You will communicate with various departments to keep everyone on board about any changes to the project plan. In addition, you will be responsible for organizing, reporting, planning meetings and provide updates to project managers.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Manage projects of medium to high complexity (e.g. program-level)

  • Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Liaise with management and other departments to identify and define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals.

  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.

  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to achieve maximum benefit.

  • Assign roles and tasks to dedicated team members, based on individual strengths and abilities.

  • Build the skill sets of individual team members and capture overall learnings for the company.

  • Achieve organizational goals while upholding standards and best practices.

  • Ensure all parts of an assigned project are processed, organized, and progressing according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates.

  • Assist in assigning project tasks to  relevant parties and check in for status updates.

  • Develop and maintain project performance databases that track overall progress and the accomplishment of specific milestones.

  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.

  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.

  • Act as a point of communication between company teams and external resources.

  • Deepen partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers.

  • Follows all regulatory policies, procedures, privacy, and security standards in accordance with government agencies including all HIPAA requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a technical or engineering discipline.

  • 5+ years in a program management role.

  • Experience managing programs or development with complex design requirements.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude to be able to understand, question and organize technical topics and translate them into business terms.

  • Familiarity with healthcare services and products is desired, not required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in technology lifecycle processes (SDLC, agile, waterfall, etc.).

  • Demonstrated business systems analysis and project / program management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to make progress and decisions amidst ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to work at both the detailed and summary level.

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence internal and external decision makers.

  • Ability to use critical thinking and reasoning skills to solve problems.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Product or Project Management a plus.

  • Certifications in Agile Scrum Rolls a plus

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
