We have an immediate need for an Associate Procurement Analyst (Buyer) to join our team in Canoga Park, CA.
The Associate Procurement Analyst performs entry-level professional assignments and follows established policies. This position requires some professional judgment and a limited use and/or application of basic supply chain principles, theories and concepts. A basic understanding of cost accounting principles is a plus for this individual in order to develop Price/Cost Analysis (P/CA) capabilities, support customer proposal activities and assist accounts payable as necessary.
Performs fundamental procurement activities including acquisition of materials, components and services at reasonable and competitive prices, which meet schedule, safety and quality standards. Creates case files and performs post purchase order administration (i.e. hardware follow-up, internal communication with program customers, receipt/stocking related effort).
Performs price/cost analysis and negotiations
Provides proposal support.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of government contracting requirements, FAR and other pertinent government flow downs strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge and capability in the use MS Office suite.
- Strong problem resolution skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically.
Desired Requirements:
- Familiarity with the electronic commodity and/or service agreements working to a Statement of Work.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for RFQs, POs, receiving, invoicing, etc.
