JOB REQUIREMENTS: Linetec Summary of Position: Recommend and implement
production processes, methods and controls. Manage significant process
and equipment engineering projects using cost-effective manufacturing
processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and
quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide
technical expertise on Linetec processes for customers and vendors
Responsible for providing technical direction for assigned processes and
equipment Communicate with other departments and management regarding
manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate the
manufacturing processes. Identify, research and implement significantly
impactful projects, including new products and new technologies Review
designs and make recommendations to improve process design, reduce cost,
or increase production efficiency. Plan, organize, and schedule the work
of key improvement projects Coordinate vendor and customer activity to
support projects Report the current status of projects including
timeline and budget Evaluate, cost justify and implement tools,
machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods Assist
with technical aspects of Continuous Improvement projects and kaizen
activity Apply statistical methods and perform analysis for cost
reduction, quality improvement and increased efficiency Develop written
standard operating procedures and work instructions for key processes
Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles Promote safety at all times
Qualifications and Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing,
Chemical or Industrial Engineering (or related field) 10+ years
applicable experience in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with
Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts Computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook,
CAD, Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred) Experience with process
equipment and control system Strong written and verbal communication
skills - technical writing experience preferred Large Project management
experience and the ability to multi-task Excellent interpersonal
communication and influential leadership skills Knowledge of aluminum
finishing is a plus Work Environment: 75% exposure to the production
environment. (Heat, operating machinery and noise) Office duties require
sitting behind a desk, performing tasks on a computer Plant duties
require standing and moving about the facility and equipment on a daily
