Job Description
Data Analyst
Tower Product Incorporated is looking to hire a Data Analyst to join our data team. You
will take responsibility for understanding our master data set, developing reports, and
troubleshooting data reporting issues. Towers Data Analyst should have a mathematical
and/or accounting background with the ability to formulate various equations that would
be used to define multiple C suite level reports. To do well in this role you need a very
fine eye for detail, understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, and an
understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide quality assurance of reporting data, working with stakeholders if necessary.
Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets for utilization in Domo and/or MS BI.
Processing confidential data and information for use in Domo and/or MS BI.
Helping develop reports and analysis.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, and security.
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on Business Intelligence systems.
Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
Some troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports, primarily
verifying the accuracy of reporting.
Training end-users on new reports and dashboards in Domo and or MS BI.
Providing technical expertise in conjunction with the IT team in data storage
structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in computer science.
Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks or problems with data
required for reporting.
Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
Detail oriented
High-level written and verbal communication skills.
