Position Summary:
The Aquatic Lead will assist in planning, supervising and implementing
activities in the Aquatic Department and may be required to lifeguard and
teach. Attendance at all in-service trainings is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide on-deck shift oversight for daily operations of the aquatics facility
including weekly programming as directed by the Aquatics Manager or on duty
Coordinator.
Provide assistance to swim instructors and team coaches during swim
programming and practices to ensure a safe and customer friendly experience
for participants and patrons.
Considerately and patiently enforce RJKCCC rules to provide a safe environment
for all members, visitors and employees. Caution swimmers regarding unsafe
areas and actions.
Maintain order and cleanliness in all swimming areas, on deck and in water.
Assist in training and instruction of recommended TSA Aquatic staff for
Instructor-level Certifications. This training will lend to, but not be
limited to, their ability to train and teach other lifeguards and TSA staff.
Must be able to analyze situations and adopt a quick and effective course of
action; maintain constant observation of an assigned area to identify any
signs of danger.
Must monitor and assist aquatic staff with proper radio calls and emergency
response.
