Full Job Description
Title: Children’s Mental Health Clinician (OLP) Department: Children and Family Treatment and Support Services
Title of Immediate Supervisor: CFTSS Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY: The Children’s Mental Health Clinician provides in-home and community-based services to Medicaid enrolled youth ages 0- 21 under the Medicaid State Plan Service Other Licensed Practitioner (OLP). The clinician will work independently and in a coordinated, comprehensive manner, based on the individual needs of the child and family. Clinical services provided under OLP are intended to help prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early identification and intervention and may be provided to children/youth in need of assessment for whom behavioral health conditions have not yet been diagnosed. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Participate in regular supervision (per New Directions policy and procedure) • Maintain a flexible schedule based around client availability, including evenings. Primary hours of service delivery are after school and evenings. • Adhere to agency and department policies and procedures • Utilize normative culture • Perform all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor SKILL, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education and/or Professional Qualifications/Skills Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, or MFT-P), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC or MHC-P), Licensed Creative Art Therapist (LCAT), or Licensed Psychoanalyst. Experience in the provision of individual family and group psychotherapy to adolescents and their families preferred. Experience in providing services to those who are substance use disordered and/or in acute crisis preferred.
