| Job Description |
This is a 9-month, full-time position The pharmacy technician is a 9-month position reporting to the Pharmacy Manager. The licensed pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting with the reconciliation of third party claims and providing medication to the SU student population. Duties include counting tablets, labeling bottles, organizing inventory, alerting the pharmacist of stock shortages, ordering of medications, processing insurances, cleaning equipment and work areas, answering calls to the pharmacy, stocking inventory, receiving orders and referring any questions regarding prescriptions, drug info or health matters to a pharmacist. |
| Qualifications | High School diploma and should be a certified as a pharmacy technician in the state of New York. |
| Job Specific Qualifications | The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will be responsible for performing a number of pharmacy related tasks and help assist with the reconciliation of third party claims. |
