What does Master@IBM offer you?
Within the scope of the 2-3 year Master@IBM program, we offer valuable professional experience in the area of a sales and technical department, which you will gain in parallel to your studies. You can complete the master study course at a university (or university of applied sciences) of your choice. The duration of studies depends on the respective university and is between two and three years. The volume of work allows you to focus sufficiently on your master’s degree. Nevertheless, you can expect challenging assignments in a team-oriented and dynamic environment as well as many opportunities for active co-determination. You will also write your master’s thesis in collaboration with your department.
Who are we looking for?
For our in-job master’s program, we are looking for highly-motivated students from computer science / business information systems or similar based degree courses. In addition to a good bachelor’s degree, an independent approach to work is also important to us. Are you action-oriented, highly motivated and you have analytical skills? You are able to define and localize industry-specific content and solution plays? Then you should definitely apply – we look forward to receiving your application!
What can you expect from this position?
As a Master@IBM Sales Student you will be part of the of the Software Sales team and support our “Go To Market” model for direct and indirect sales of IBM’s strategic software products around Data & AI. You will be able to work with new and emerging technologies with a focus on areas like AI (watsonx), Data Fabric, Business & Planning Analytics and Business Automation. You will work closely with our Sales Team, TechSales Team, Business Partner Organization and Product Offering Team to drive sales tactics and strategies for the Swiss market. You will also engage with clients and Ecosystem partners to support IBM Sales teams in developing a compelling value proposition aligned to customer needs and KPIs.
We are looking for a bachelor student who is:
- Eager to learn how to run a high-class software business in the Swiss market
- Curious and open to engage with Swiss clients and Ecosystem partners in multiple industries
- Passionate about new technologies in the field of Data & AI and how they can provide business value to clients
- Comes with a sales mindset and is keen to learn how to build compelling value propositions for clients
This job is only for candidates who will have finished their Bachelor studies by September 2024 (or earlier) and plan to start with a Master’s Degree in autumn 2024 (Swiss university/university of applied sciences, study course of your choice).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Good understanding of technology concepts in the area of Data & AI
- Basic understanding about today’s IT industry and business challenges in the Swiss market
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Fluent in German & English; French is an advantage
