The work:
The Zero Trust Data Security Architect is responsible for the strategic design and comprehensive governance of data security systems across an organization, ensuring that Zero Trust principles are deeply integrated into all data-related processes. You will be responsible for data protection (encryption, masking), leading data discovery and classification, and designing/implementing data access control policies (RBAC/ABAC/PBAC). You will work to solution and architect encryption solutions for data at rest, in transit, and in use, leveraging cryptographic algorithms and key management aligned with Zero Trust principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the overarching data security architecture that incorporates Zero Trust principles, ensuring that data is secured throughout its lifecycle.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of data security technologies and products.
Here’s what you need:
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Security Architect focusing on Zero Trust, specifically within the federal government, is required
- Expertise in implementing data protection strategies, encryption methodologies, tokenization, and data masking aligned with Zero Trust principles
- Exceptional strategic planning capabilities to guide large-scale data security initiatives.
- Expertise in designing and implementing identity-centric access controls, ensuring least privilege access, attribute-based access controls (ABAC), and role-based access controls (RBAC) for data access
- In-depth knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations, policies, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA), and their practical application in securing government data following Zero Trust paradigms
