General Description
Arkansas State University – Beebe, a two-year residential community and technical college associated with the Arkansas State University System, invites applications for a full-time, promotion eligible, Instructor or Assistant Professor of Precision Agriculture to begin July 2025.

The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of the discipline and teach a wide swath of courses specific to Agriculture Technology and Precision Agriculture. This is a 12-month position. The ideal candidate will assist the college in establishing ASU-Beebe’s Precision Agriculture credit and non-credit programming as well as the ASUB Precision Ag Training Center.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The individual hired will:
  • Teach Face to Face, Hybrid, and Online course offerings as needed.
  • Teach workforce, non-credit coursework.
  • Teach at each campus location as needed.
  • Actively recruit students to precision agriculture program and ASU-Beebe, and participate in college student recruitment events.
  • Maintain a roster of advisees across many Career Education disciplines.
  • Participate in curriculum development and review.
  • Participate in course and program assessment annually.
  • Engage in student retention initiatives.
  • Serve on institutional committees.
  • Assist in the planning and operation of Ag Day and Cream of the Crop campus events.
  • Assist with the Ag Club student organization.
  • Establish relationships with K-12 counterparts and business & industry partners operating in Ag Tech arenas.
  • Establish and meet with the Precision Agriculture advisory council at least twice per academic year.
