  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    The UW Medicine Enterprise Access & Innovation Senior Consultant will serve in a leadership role to oversee the design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of access improvement functions across the clinical enterprise.

    The Senior Consultant will collaborate with executive leadership as well as clinical and operational leaders to identify and resolve issues that create barriers to access to care, creating a seamless experience for UW Medicine's patients and our referring provider community. They will lead business analysis and solution development efforts, application of enterprise-wide standards and implementation of complex projects and initiatives. They will be responsible for proactively sharing ideas and recommendations for access improvement, building positive relationships and buy-in, and contributing to a culture of collaboration and shared success. The leader will conduct periodic specialty-wide access reviews to ensure access performance goals are continually met. 

    The UW Medicine Enterprise Patient Access-focused initiatives will create and support exceptional patient access and service, provider and staff satisfaction, growth and volume management, advancement of process and technology innovation, and strong financial performance with superior efficiency and productivity.

    The Senior Project Manager/Consultant will have delegated authority from the Senior Director, Enterprise Access and Innovation to plan, design, and implement actions for key enterprise transformation and innovation initiatives as they relate to a seamless UW Medicine Patient Experience.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a senior project manager/consultant for Enterprise Access and Innovation, UW Medicine
  • This individual will be accountable for leading projects supporting key enterprise transformation and innovation initiatives as they relate to a seamless UW Medicine Patient Experience -- work with key internal and external staff and leaders.
  • Lead implementation of new technology and tools related to patient access including design of work plans, workflows, contracts/pricing and related vendor management tools
  • Project Expense Management (Budget)
  • Analytics & Resource Allocation


  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field
    AND
  • Six to eight years of demonstrated success in a consulting capacity in a related healthcare, hospital, or ambulatory setting to include:
    a) Five (5) years of Patient Access related experience
    b) Five (5) years of supervisory experience in healthcare setting
    d) Five (5) years of project management and change management
    e) Three (3) years of customer service management
    OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
