Job Description:
As Senior Director of Global Real Estate - Projects you will lead the execution of transformational workplace strategies across the globe. You will have the opportunity to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive, manage, and execute on large-scale, global real estate projects. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills to lead a high-performing team and deliver successful outcomes.

Reporting to the VP Global Real Estate & Facilities you will be based at Ecolab's Global Headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

What You Will Do:

Collaborate with internal partners, including executive leadership, functional and business unit leaders, and site leadership to evaluate and implement transformational workplace strategies to ensure construction results are obtained within financial targets

Develop and communicate all centralized workplace policies, procedures and space standards throughout the organization; Integrate evolving work models into workplace standards and new office designs, build-outs and retrofits

In partnership with enterprise leaders, continue to evolve building standards for space allocation, design, construction, and furniture and equipment

Develop lab prototypes and space standards for use in future lab build-outs

Develop metrics-based management and reporting to track and manage multiple project schedules and capital budgets for Ecolab Global Real Estate projects; Communicate wins and opportunities to leadership

Lead site construction and build-out projects including vendor selection and price negotiation, where required

Cultivate a high performing team by building skills through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and development; Ensure effectiveness and team alignment with strategy, goals and initiatives

Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting

Collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs

Partner with procurement to conduct negotiations with suppliers to obtain products and services to maximize workplace flexibility with excellent workplace experience

Promote environmentally innovative and financially sound construction and workplace practices
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, construction, legal studies, pre-law, engineering, project management, or related field

10 years of commercial real estate experience

Working real estate experience (planning, projects, transactions, facilities, legal)

Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:

Corporate real estate leadership experience leading large projects

Ability to lead teams through multiple global projects simultaneously

Experience working in a dynamic, matrix-oriented environment with little supervision and high level of flexibility

Experience serving as a key leader who is able to engage with internal and external stakeholders to support rigorous execution in a complex environment

Ability to thrives in an ever-changing and ambiguous environment

Values a diverse and inclusive work environment

Ability to foster a culture of process discipline and continuous improvement to deliver effective results

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -oral and written -with demonstrated ability to take complex analyses, summarize at an executive level, and make a sound recommendation

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with an action-oriented mindset
