DESCRIPTION:

The primary role of the Warehouse Administrative Assistant includes high-level administrative functions as they relate to warehouse operations such as (but not limited to) receiving and processing of incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Tasks (Include, but not limited to, the following):

  • Perform efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company.
  • Schedule shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items.
  • Schedule project deliveries on a timely manner
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
  • Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
  • Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Due to the high degree of interaction with the team, supervisors, management and peers, you are expected to have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient in oral comprehension, oral expression and written comprehension.
  • Must have strong knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Deadlines are important, therefore, you must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and exercise time management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be computer literate, proficient in word and excel
  • Must be thorough and pay attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work with a diverse group of people as well as work on your own.
  • Must be able to work fulltime which may include some early evenings and weekends as necessary.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in providing strong administrative support for a diverse team of professionals and peers.

 

Expected annual salary range for this job is commensurate with experience.
