Description of Work Unit |
Veterinary Teaching Hospital At the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), we exist to educate the next generation of veterinarians by providing exceptional veterinary care and service to the community every day. The purpose of freight and Central Stores is to provide 24-hour, state-of-the-art storage and delivery of all surgical and medical supplies, instruments, and equipment used for the treatment and care of animals at the VTH. The Central Stores units instruct professional and paraprofessional Veterinary Medical students, interns, residents, Veterinary Technicians, and Front Range Community College Veterinary Technician Students in a clinical setting with an emphasis on the use and care of instruments and equipment used in the treatment of sick animals. Central Supply Unit This position receives and delivers medical supplies, equipment, instruments, and freight for the VTH which is used for the instruction of professional and paraprofessional Veterinary Medical students. This position will also provide service and care to the public and professional research environment dealing with the care and treatment of the animals. Why work at Colorado State University? Position Summary | The purpose of Central Supply is to provide 24-hour, state-of-the-art storage and delivery of all surgical and medical supplies, instruments, and equipment used for the treatment and care of animals at the VTH. The Central Supply unit instructs professional and paraprofessional Veterinary Medical students, interns, residents, Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Technician Students in a clinical setting with emphasis on the use and care of instruments and equipment used in the treatment of sick animals. This position will report to the materials supervisor. The employee in this position is designated as essential personnel and may need to be available to support hospital personnel in times of campus closures. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Signing bonus may be available for eligible and successful candidates. |
