Job Description

 
Responsibilities: - Perform traffic control, flagging functions. - Perform manual-laboring work such as digging, backfilling, breaking and removing; pavement, (asphalt /concrete). - Helper may work with heavy pneumatic tools; Provide physical assistance for setting up and operating underground tools; work with higher-classified personnel by performing laboring functions in connection with the higher classification. This includes strenuous work through out the day (including but not limited to) squatting, walking, lifting tools and materials greater than 80lbs. - Perform similar or less-skilled work as assigned. - If hired, employee will be required to obtain and maintain a valid CDL license. Salary: $21.82/hour Qualifications - Three years similar or related work. Plumbing experience preferred. - Should be mechanically inclined and capable of performing strenuous work. - Applicant will be required to demonstrate the mental ability and aptitude to progress to hire classifications. - High School Diploma or GED. - NOTE: Must successfully complete the following: - DOT Physical, Respirator Fit Level 1 - Pre-assessment testing, regulatory safety training, traffic control/flagger training, Gas Fundamentals training, Abnormal Operating Condition Operator qualification training, Soft-Tissue Injury Prevention training, and Helper-specific training programs. - Candidates must possess a valid State Driver's License and pass Field Assessment Test To Apply: https://jobs.nationalgrid.com/USA/job/Brooklyn-Helper-Distribution-NY-11211/1121242800/
