Harborview Medical Center - Facilities and Capital Development has an outstanding opportunity to hire an INTEGRATED SPACE AND MOVE PLANNER.

WORK SCHEDULE
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Day Shift, Mondays - Fridays

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Assists with minor renovations involving furniture reconfigurations, interdepartmental move coordination and implementation of furniture and space standards.
  • Works throughout the 2 million sf campus and interact with front line staff, managers, administrative staff, hospital leadership, engineering and maintenance, construction services, infection control, EVS and several other departments.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    The Facilities and Capital Development Division, a Team of highly motivated and diverse individuals that are driven by Harborview’s mission to serve the most vulnerable residents of King County.  Harborview is on the precipice of a $1.7B New Tower expansion, funded by a King County bond measure that was passed by the voters in 2020.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process and complete furniture request work orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinate quotes and purchase of furniture with vendors and end users
  • Coordinate furniture warranty work, manage the furniture inventory Harborview’s strategic replacement plan and redeploy existing furniture when possible
  • Develop & Review vendor contracts
  • Participate as a committee member of the Design Review Board, which oversees the enhancement of public space and staff and visitor experience
  • Process and complete move request work orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with move coordination on major Capital Projects
  • Work with departments to ensure surplus and move processes are coordinated
  • Investigate availability of space for department growth, new recruits, and programs
  • Identify and plan solutions to satisfy space needs of our users
  • Review and coordinate furniture plans, using new and used furniture
  • Coordinate and submit any required electrical, fire and building permits as required

    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or Planning.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in Interior Design and/or Space Planning.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
