**Special Education teaching certificate not required, but definitely appreciated!

An ESS substitute Special Education Tutor works 1:1 with a student with learning disabilities, other disabilities, or medical conditions and assists with schoolwork instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. This particular role meets for 2hrs/day 5x/week in New Milford to aid the student in understanding subject matter. You will be tutoring an 8th grader on multiple subsjects.



Responsibilities

Provide meaningful instruction to student in assigned location.
Review and implement routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
Establish and maintain a safe and orderly tutoring environment.
Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
Perform other duties as directed by school administration.



Qualifications

Special Education Teaching Certificate not required but preferred
CT/FBI Criminal History Clearance
Department of Children and Families Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Record Clearance
Education Employment Verification - Act 16-67
