PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for the generation of new business as well as for the maintenance of existing business. Responsible for growing the APOC sales in the defined sales region.
To provide strategic leadership and direction for sales of i-STAT products into Emergency, Critical Care Departments and any other targeted departments while positioning the local sales team to achieve goals and budgetary objectives in support of overall division sales and profit plans.
To be the local expert to build sales with key customers and leverage contracts nationally and locally.
To ensure implementation of analyzers within the account.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Reach the defined sales goal for the responsible region.
Manage the whole strategic selling process with the different stakeholder in the process.
Build up reference customers and help to establish KOLs.
Report customer needs, changes in the marketplace and competitor activities.
Give relevant input to the management team regarding the healthcare market.
Provide monthly/quarterly sales forecast for the sales region and the progress of projects in a monthly report.
Publish all information of the customer and sales progress in the CRM.
Strong communication with the implementation Team.
For implementations without complex IT connection to do the implementation and user trainings.
Assist to congresses, trade meetings and symposia.
Prepare business plans, forecast and market share analysis for upper management.
Execute sales plans/strategies to exceed sales goals and execute new product launches.
Develop and execute account-specific strategies to increase current sales growth, improve market share, and achieve profit objectives of i-STAT products.
Adhere to and promote Abbott Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and Compliance guidelines.
Meet and exceed sales goals; complete each year under planned expense budget.
Complete administrative responsibilities in accurate and timely fashion, including all budget plans, forecasts, highlights, etc.
Operate with openness and honesty; set high personal and professional standards.
Demonstrates thorough understanding of key product attributes and product demonstrations.
Cultivates relationships with internal and external customers.
Accountable for identifying strategic business building opportunities, as well as developing and executing appropriate sales and marketing plans to achieve objectives.
Must be able to represent best interests of division to customers and sales people to gain acceptance of i-STAT programs and policies.
EDUCATION AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Requirements University or Bachelor’s Degree in science or economics or equivalent experience required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience in account management.
Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare structure and decision making process.
Commercial experience, preferable in the medical sales environment.
Minimum 3 year sales experience in the healthcare market for Medical Devices, In-Vitro-Diagnostic.
Experience in solution selling with different stakeholder.
Ability to work with MS Office.
The ideal candidate for the position must be based either in Campania or Lazio. The role will cover all South of Italy.
