Aerobraze, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery. Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure the quality requirements are implemented and within compliance of the Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, FAA 14 CFR 145 and 21, and statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Develop, monitor, and post metrics to measure progress and improvements related to all quality related programs and initiatives.

Assist in maintaining the corporate initiative of plant safety and environmental programs

Conduct contract reviews to ensure compliance with work instructions

Communicate with customers regarding quality issues and ensure that corrective actions are adopted and remain in place

Understand quality standards and concepts, implement organizational assessments and maintain customer satisfaction and focus.

Assist in developing processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met.

Help coordinate training on quality assurance concepts and tools.

Interface with other components within the company and responsibility for dealing with customers and suppliers on quality related or performance issues.

Coordinate and schedule Internal and External Quality Audits and report results to Executive Management in order to assess the effectiveness of the quality system and maintain the ISO certification status.

Coordinate metrology and quality activities within the organization according to provisions of the position description including, but not limited to, establishing and maintaining a calibration system appropriate to the type, range and volume of calibration and testing undertaken.

Ensure incoming materials conform to quality expectations.

Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure conformance to the Approved Suppliers procedure, including assessing the risk of each supplier and reviewing supplier surveys to determine approval.

Assist in the training of personnel for requirements of process and incoming product inspection.

Asist with producing and maintaining written quality standards and procedures which conform to quality expectations, engineering specifications, customer requirements and specific applicable industry standard.

Asist with conducting failure analysis to determine the cause of specific defects and with other departments, to prevent recurrence.

Help conduct product and process audits to ensure finished goods conform to quality standards and expectations.

Coordinate with all departments to ensure products shipped conform to company quality standards, engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Create and Review Certificates of Conformance for shipping parts, to ensure they are up to date and accurate.

Follow up on Material Review Board, issue and manage non-conformances and corrective actions.

Asist in performing inspections to ensure compliance with specified requirements at the in-process and final stages of processing.

Perform NDT inspection to ensure compliance with specified requirements at the receiving, in-process, and final stages of the process.

Education and Experience

2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.

Ability and willingness to learn in lean, six-sigma, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement principles

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and to read and interpret technical requirements of a quality system

Proficient with MS Office and QMS type software

Experience with NADCAP standards of special processes and FAA regulations
