Job Description

 
Mayer Bros. Apple Products is looking for for first shift Quality lab technician for their plant located in Niagara County Barker, NY. The following are the responsibilities and requirements: Duties and Responsibilities Maintain product quality at all times, place QC holds on any items of questionable quality Perform hourly QC line checks Perform all QC tasks per lab manual and complete all required paperwork Daily calibration and recordkeeping for laboratory equipment Complete laboratory analysis on all batches produced to verify all specifications are met Perform lab tech shift sanitation inspection to ensure that cleanliness Perform required checks on incoming apples and outgoing apple juice products Regularly check that all coding and packaging specifications are being met Coordinate with production personnel to stop the line when quality issues develop Required Skills Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs and laboratory equipment Ability to read, understand and implement all of the policies and procedures as written in the QC Lab Manual Ability to perform and interpret laboratory and microbiological tests Analytical, inspection, math, communication and legible record keeping skills We offer a competitive benefit package including 401k, medical, and dental Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 50 60 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: Night shift
