Job Description

Mountain View School District #244 is always in need of substitute teachers and/or aides throughout the district.  Our district includes the areas of Grangeville, Kooskia and Elk City where the school buildings are located. 

 If you are interested in substituting for teachers or paraprofessionals, please follow these steps:

 1.  Complete the online application for Substituting,

2.  Stop by the District Office in Grange.ille to pick up the Payroll packet and Fingerprint packet from Chandra Eimers or Becci Gehring during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm, closed Noon-1pm, The Idaho County Sheriff's Office does fingerprinting only Monday through Friday, 9:am to 11:am

3.  Stop by and visit with the school principal or secretary where you wish to substitute and introduce yourself.   

4.  Becci Gehring will enter your name and contact information into our substitute software, ReadySub for you to be called upon to sub.  
 

Substitute Paraprofessional rate of pay is $13.00 per hour.

To substitute for a certified teacher it is not required that you have an Idaho Teaching Certificate.  You must have a high school diploma or GED.  It is recommended you have prior experience working with children of all ages.
