THE POSITION
Are you a college student who is passionate about mental health advocacy? If so, join the  (OMHSAS) as a part-time Mental Health Survey Support Intern! From summer through early fall, you will assist in the data entry of surveys regarding publicly funded behavioral health services. The results of these surveys are used to ensure funding continues to be available in Pennsylvania, to identify areas for potential growth and improvement, and to identify consumers who may be at imminent risk of unsafe behaviors. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
You will be on the front line for recording and screening results from perception of care surveys. These surveys are submitted by consumers of a variety of public services, including therapy, psychiatry, inpatient services, halfway homes, and detoxification and rehabilitation centers. You will pick up mailed surveys in Harrisburg, enter survey results into a database, and review and categorize all individual comments - some filled with praise and gratefulness for the services received, some requesting assistance, and some bringing potential issues to light. OMHSAS relies on this position to ensure voices of Pennsylvania citizens are heard.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Part-time internship from summer through early fall
You will be able to work flexible hours and days within Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. A minimum of 20 hours per week is expected.
You must be able and willing to pick up surveys in Harrisburg's Strawberry Square post office.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 4 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONSAdditional Requirements:
You must be currently enrolled in college full-time (carrying 12 or more undergraduate credits, or 9 or more graduate credits).
You must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
You must be at least 18 years of age.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
