REQUIREMENTS:
* Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
* Current Wildland firefighter certification or ability to obtain.
* Pass random drug screening.
* Pass the Pack Test: Carry forty-five (45) pounds in a pack, walk for three (3) miles in under forty-five (45) minutes.
JOB DUTIES:
* Serve as a member of an engine crew.
* Use hand tools to provide wildland fire suppression activities.
* Travel to dispatched locations throughout seven western U.S. states to suppress wildfires.
* Be available and ready to mobilize on short notice.
* Work in a team environment.
* Preseason duties may include thinning, brush clearing, piling and firewood cutting.
* May include travel and overnight stays away from the local area.
HOURS:
* Full time seasonal, varies depending on need.
