Job Title for this role is CAD Drafter.
Notes from the manager - I am looking for someone who has solid Solidworks experience. I am also requiring someone with recent Windchill experience. This person will not be doing much design and will be doing more replication and adjustments. I need someone who has worked in a regulated environment as well. Med Device experience is a must.
We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Designer with Medical Device design experience. This position is responsible to work cross functionally a cross-functional team to organize and improve the print and BOM structures in WNC. You are responsible for: Demonstrated ability to create and work from engineering drawings. Demonstrated application of general design and drafting of machine and product components. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills both, verbal and written. Strong SolidWorks knowledge. CAD Modeling: designers are responsible for modeling of complex parts using Solidworks CAD software including design tables, surfacing, and complex assemblies. Design for Manufacturability: designers are responsible for working with manufacturing personnel to ensure parts can be efficiently manufactured. Design Analysis: designers are responsible for performing analyses to determine the feasibility of their design including FEA and written calculations. Manufacturing Drawings: designers are required to create manufacturing drawings for each component per ASME Y14.5. Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems within mechanical design and obtaining necessary information in a timely manner.
