Job Summary
Provide skills in the area of plumbing, electrical maintenance/repair, carpentry and/or painting.
Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent; four years experience in general maintenance duties or trade school; licenses as required. Or an equivalent years of education and/or work experience. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license and a good clean driving record.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • A minimum of three or more years in facility maintenance operations or related experience or training in building maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with electrical, plumbing, inventory supervision, general building maintenance, and repair skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs and emergency maintenance.
  • Work on building equipment systems – replace filters, inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with the upkeep of grounds and buildings.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures, and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
  • Work independently or as a team member.
  • Conduct minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures on buildings and equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies during scheduled work hours and after hours, including weekends, as needed.
  • Work after-hours, weekends, and on-call duties as assigned.
  • Conduct regular inspections to determine areas that need attention and then perform the tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
