The successful candidate will serve as the customer's Acquisition Logistics Support SME responsible for Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, as well as post contract award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.

This position requires 100% customer location work (Wright Patterson AFB)-Work from Home opportunities are by extreme exception and only for unique situations.

Responsibilities

The candidate shall have the necessary knowledge and experience to independently support the program office executing the following tasks:
* Address the Product Support Elements through which supportability and logistic support considerations are integrated into the design of a system or equipment and considered throughout its life cycle. It is the process by which all elements of logistic support are planned, acquired, tested, and provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Perform as key participants in developing long term weapon system supportability approaches that further the Government's acquisition strategy goals and objectives.
* Provide support to accomplish the generation and review of logistics support documentation that includes the following: Integrated Logistics Support Plans
* (ILSP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), TOs, Technical Manuals, Electronic Technical Manuals, Illustrated Parts Breakdowns, and work specifications to ensure the documentation meets Government logistics support requirements.
* Participate in integrated logistics support management team meetings, program management reviews, and other related meetings.
* Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts. The Contractor shall support the program office during Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation & Risk Reduction, Engineering & Manufacturing Development, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support phases.
* Apply logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective systems support strategy.
* Assist with technical analyses, planning, and execution and assist the government in the review of technical specifications and documentation in support of Reliability, Maintainability, Quality, Supportability, and Interoperability (RMQSI) efforts to facilitate and update sustainment issues identified as related to the Life Cycle Support Plan and Integrated Support Plan.
* Develop, modify, prepare and/or validate documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.
* Analyze, as required, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government Furnished Property (GFP), Support Equipment (SE), life support, and demilitarization requirements.
* Analyze and compare government and prime contractor GFE/GFP plans and schedules with program status to recommend those actions be required to: comply with plans, identify changes to plans, and recommend corrective actions to resolve problem areas.
* Apply knowledge of GFP/GFE purchasing to determine cost, develop budgets, process purchasing documentation, and resolve issues to ensure adequate asset availability.
* Accomplish Technical Data Management (TDM) and analyses; write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide logisticians the capabilities to acquire, store, and manage in a timely, efficient, cost-affordable manner the recorded information needed to translate system and equipment design requirements into discrete engineering and logistics considerations; and manage a TO/Technical Data Library.
* Prepare an engineering data management plan, TO verification plans, and TO management plans.
* Assist in identifying engineering data requirements and data right claims.

Qualifications

* Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance, current within five (5) years, based upon a T5 or T5R investigation (formerly known as Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or SSBI Periodic Review (SBPR)).
* Minimum of 20 years of relevant DoD experience.
* No less than three (3) years' experience in SAP and/or SCI environments within the least five (5) years
* Master's degree in a relevant field; an exception may be granted on a case-by-case basis for senior-level education requirements for this position.
* Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access.
