We are seeking experienced drivers to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. A CDL license is NOT required, but Chauffeur License and experience with 26 ft box trucks is a must. Potential candidates must be at least 18 years of age, valid state drivers license, and good driving record – You WILL be driving the company vehicles. Travel is required for this position. This position requires you to able to deliver large household appliances/electronics (dishwashers, washer & dryers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, microwaves, plasma, LCD, LED Televisions), as well as handling them properly.
Provide friendly, top-notch customer experience through white glove service with a servant’s heart in our stores and during customers home deliveries. Through safe and compliant loading/unloading and installation of products. While following all handling and transportation procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Transport appliances to a variety of destinations.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues.
- Able to perform preventative maintenance.
- Follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving.
- Retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as following company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, accidents, or violations timely*
Key Requirements:
- Truck/Delivery Driver experience.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Able to lift over 100 lbs with assistance.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
- No recent moving or driving violations.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
- A Valid Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Usually you will have 13-20 stops a day
- Day consists of pickup of route and appliances from warehouse, then delivering to customer's homes, offices, or businesses
Job Type: Full-time 1099-Contractor
Pay: $150.00 per day
Two Weeks Paid Training at $140/day
Quarterly Performace-based pay raises. (Every 3 months)
Weekly pay must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Schedule:
- 10-hour shift, M-F, and Saturdays during peak season
