Job Description Summary

The Training Delivery and Development Specialist will drive continuous improvement of the coursework used in training Nuclear Services technicians, engineers and supporting roles. This will include cross-functional analysis and coordination to meet engineering learning needs for new to nuclear technical training, advanced skill training, and continuous learning for employees across various product lines.

This role will apply the Systematic Approach to Training (or similar model) to develop, deliver, and implement the plans, processes, and teaching methods for the Services organization. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve Outage Services engineering and technician training activities related to Outage Services.
  • Apply knowledge of Systematic Approach to Training (or similar model) to perform learning needs analysis and develop improved technical learning solutions for products or functions with high volume hiring needs.
  • Work with product lines to align training to INPO proficiency model.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current training and identify future training needs through site visits.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to design, develop, and deliver training for a variety of Services course subjects.
  • Serve as site owner for EPRI STE program qualification.
  • Evaluate and train Services course instructors.
  • Evaluate vendor training programs for compliance to GE standards.
  • Instruct and/or deliver the training content, as necessary.
  • Use technical experience and expertise to enhance training mockups and classroom experience.
  • Incorporate modern teaching and delivery methods to maximize learning retention and minimize logistical issues with remote workforce.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 5 years of related BWR outage experience OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of related BWR outage experience.
  • 5 years of experience in nuclear training under Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) or equivalent performance-based training model.
  • 5 years of instructional experience in classroom and hands-on training environments.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to U.S. export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of U.S. person status prior to employment
  • Ability to gain and maintain nuclear plant access

Desired Characteristics:

  • INPO Instructor Training Certification.
  • Experience with overall training program design.
  • Project Management skills with ability to lead programs/projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Self-starter, with demonstrated ability to prioritize projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

The base pay range for this position is $92,000-125,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 4/9/2025.

 

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
