This position is for a Event Crew Lead with a company in Columbus, MS.

Summary: Assist and supervise crew. Set -up some equipment is required.  Must service customers in a polite, friendly, and professional manner. Oversight and training of junior employees is expected. Shipping and receiving functins required. Attend training as required, this may be off-site.

Duties and Responsibilities: Load and unload equipment. Set-up and take down rental equipment. Supervise event crew.  Own the process of delivering and picking up equipment. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form. Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations. Be an expert in specifics and applications of all rental inventory. Attend meetings required. Perform safety crew meetings. Supervise proper and safe event installations and deliveries, whether onsite or remotely. Own the event crew requires hiring and firing. Own rental warehouse and associated processes. Open and close rental yard, when necessary. Respond to difficulties and problems with deliveries and pickups. Ensure vehicle maintenance is performed. Report safety violations. Fill-in for other positions when necessary. Network with other industry professionals.

Working Conditions: May be exposed to the general range of weather experienced in the area, with the exception of several hours in the warehouse loading or unloading and drive time. Some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned.  May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, and cleaning solvents.  Stooping, crouching, bending, lifting, lowering, reaching, twisting, pulling, pushing, carting and carrying are intermittent tasks that routinely occur.  This job requires interaction with co-workers & clients. 

Education, Skills & Requirements: Must have high school diploma, or GED. Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs. Must maintain a professional personal appearance. Must possess customer relation skills. Must pass company drug screen. Must maintain an acceptable attendance record. Must have a full range of motion and dexterity. Must be able to understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form. Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers. Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience. Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems. Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Computer knowledge is preferred.
