Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Admissions Recruiter-Caribbean supports Monroe Colleges outreach, recruitment and strategic initiatives throughout the Caribbean region. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in identifying, inspiring and motivating prospective students throughout all admissions phases; maintain positive relationships with alumni, educational institutions and governmental bodies in ensuring sustainable enrollment from the Caribbean region. Assists with the development of market-specific recruitment strategies, as directed; and, assumes responsibility for structuring and conducting technical presentations which highlight specific aspects of the institution, its programs and facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interview prospective students, guide them through the admission/I20 process, and make an initial admission recommendation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students and influencers in your recruitment area.
- Initiate the development of articulation agreements between target transfer institutions and Monroe when appropriate and advantageous to the college.
- Recruit new students to achieve budgeted goals for each term.
- Assist with planning and organizing recruiting events.
- Analyze recruitment numbers for each term, maintain reports on admissions activity and provide recommendations for implementing corrective measures.
- Manage the online application portal, participate in online chat sessions and contribute to staff meetings.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree required in Business Management
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Experience with USCIS regulations as they concern F-1 visa holders.
- Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records
- Knowledge of time management and organizational techniques.
- Knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as well as in a public setting.
- Manage database, maintain records, word processing and data entry
-Flexibility to travel to international markets and local events (as directed).
