Responsibilities

 


I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Prepares and performs a variety of CT and radiologic procedures. 
•  Provides patient care during procedures.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•  Essential:  standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting, pushing/pulling maximum weight of 50 pounds of force, carrying usual weight of 25 pounds. 
•  Continuous:  reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object. 
•  Frequent:  stooping/bending, lifting weight up to maximum weight of 50 pounds, carrying usual weight of 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. 
•  Occasional: kneeling, squatting, twisting body. 
•  Operates CT scanner, computer, telephone, printer.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
•  Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. 
•  Exposed to communicable diseases. Work environment may be stressful due to patient volume.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A.  EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
•  Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist.
•  Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.).  If not certified, certification must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position.
•  In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff.
•  Current BLS/HCP certification.

B.  EXPERIENCE:
•  Two (2)  years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility;
OR
•  One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures.
•  CT experience preferred.
