Job Summary | The David Eccles School of Business is seeking a Career Advancement Manager to deliver, maintain, and further develop an existing comprehensive and innovative career coaching program, set of resources, data, and events. The target audience is students and alumni in the three part-time MBA programs (Executive MBA, Professional MBA (evening), and MBA Online). This includes program management working with the coaching vendor and team to ensure effective coaching for professional development, career advancement, job search, and entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will possess an “entrepreneurial vision” and a strong understanding of executive and career coaching, career paths, issues, and extensive knowledge of the employment market and corporate hiring practices. This individual will also assist with implementing the relationship development plan aimed at increasing employment opportunities for students and alumni through career coaching, matching and articulating employment opportunities and promoting networking and recruiting opportunities. This job is considered “essential.” Therefore, it is required that the employee work on campus, in person. |

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required. Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. |
