Order#: NY1527054 Summer Camp Counselors Salary: $16.07/hour Playground Camp(s) Responsibilities: Lead recreation programs and activities for children in Grades K-2 or 1 - 5 in a variety of activity areas including: Games, arts & crafts, sports, drama, music and special events. Assists with supervision to ensure participant safety Organize supplies and materials for activities Maintain rapport with participants and their families Qualifications: Applicant must be 16 years of age. Previous experience working or volunteering with youth is preferred. Employment Period: Mandatory Orientation July 2nd and 3rd Monday Friday, July 7 - August 15 8:15 am 3:00pm or 3:30pm. *No time off permitted except for academic or medical* Note: This is a seasonal position for our playground camps, however there may be additional part-time work opportunities with the recreation department throughout the summer and school year.
