About the Job
The (GCD) at the University of Minnesota (UMN) Medical School has an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor tenure-track or tenured, 12-month appointment opening in Genomics and Cell Biology, with a focus on fundamental life sciences research that will advance our understanding of how genomes and genotypes confer heterogeneous phenotypes during normal cellular differentiation and development, adaptation, as well as in pathological states.
Successful candidates will leverage cutting edge technologies (e.g., genome editing, single cell genomics, epigenomics, imaging, and stem cells and organoid platforms) to discover and understand fundamental mechanisms underlying questions related to human health. Finalists will complement existing strengths in UMN research centers, including the , the , the , the , the , and UMN's (e.g., Addiction, Biology of Aging, Cancer, Immunology, and Optical Imaging and Brain Science).

Qualifications
Applicants at the Assistant Professor level are expected to have an outstanding track record of academic excellence with the drive to establish extramurally-funded research programs through independent and collaborative research. Applicants at the Associate and Full Professor level are expected to have an established extramurally funded research program and a robust track record of publication and collaboration. All applicants are required to hold a Ph.D. or an M.D./Ph.D. degree.

The Medical School's is a vibrant, multi-disciplinary department with outstanding faculty in genomics and genetics, cell biology, and developmental biology.
