Job Description

 
Habib American Bank is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to develop and maintain the Financial Management System (FMS) to process international wire transfers through multiple financial networks; Analyze user requirements by communicating with the department heads of Payments & Receipts, Compliance, Investigation, Marketing and Trade Services Departments; Design, develop, and test software applications utilizing Java, IntelliJ/Eclipse, Ant/Maven, HTML, POI-excel, iText-PDF, Java Mail and SQL database development involving Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions & Views; Manage all hPLUS banking software development for payment processing, compliance, and risk management as well as trade finance (letter of credit, reimbursement claims) and payments investigation; Develop new options, write PDF reports using iText, maintain the various hPLUS scheduler jobs which are critical in keeping FMS system data in sync between hPLUS and AS400 core banking system; Maintain and apply periodical upgrades to the payments and investigation messages of the financial networks including Federal Reserve Bank of New York, CHIPS (Clearing House Interbank Payment System) and SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) networks; Develop and maintain HAB Web utilizing Apache web-server, XML, HTML, CSS, JSON, JQuery and Restful web-services. HAB Web is the web-based solution offered by HAB to financial institutions to monitor account activity in real-time; iWrapper is an application that integrates hPLUS banking software with the AS400 core banking system using SOAP protocol. Create options in hPLUS utilizing iWrapper API calls to bring real-time data from the AS400 system. Create custom API methods in iWrapper to communicate with the AS400 system; and Develop test cases to support the Quality Control team.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in the related occupations of Software Developer or Programmer Analyst or equivalent. Prior experience must include 3 years of experience with Java; JavaScript; HTML; XML; CSS; JSP; JSON; JQuery; Restful web-services; Struts; Servlets; EJB; JDBC; SQL; GitHub; Log4j; Ant; Maven; Apache or WebSphere; iBatis or MyBatis; and Eclipse or IntelliJ. In lieu of a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3 years of experience, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or in the related occupations of Software Developer or Programmer Analyst or equivalent with 5 years of experience using the skills listed above.
