Job Title: Line Cook Job Description: Are you a friendly and courteous professional dedicated to providing guests with an exceptional dining experience? If so, then you would be an excellent addition to our team! Responsibilities Include... -Prepare and cook all food items as laid out in the menu and in accordance with the specifications on the prep sheet. -Handle line assignments as scheduled (station prep and station service) -Understanding of proper mise en place. -Check condition of equipment; obtain necessary utensils, tools and supplies. -Handle leftover food items as instructed by the Chef. -Clean assigned work station areas. -Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices according to Local Health and State Laws. -Any other task as defined by Executive Chef or Sous Chef. Requirements: -Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook -Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures -Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment. -Some culinary education preferred -Various shifts available, including AM and PM The Lake Placid Lodge is an upscale, fine dining establishment located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, situated on the shores of Lake Placid.
