Overview




Woolpert is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Transportation Practice in Ohio (offices in Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus). Project Manager will primarily lead the execution of projects for our Ohio clients from proposal through detailed design. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated with a strong technical background to guide staff through projects. The Project Manager may also serve as a subject matter expert in support of other projects across the country and around the world. There is potential for upward mobility within our rapidly growing Transportation Practice.


Responsibilities




Lead project teams through the development of preliminary engineering, detailed design, and quantification of transportation projects.
Ensure deliverables and quality standards are met in accordance with the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
Manage and support internal and client cross-functional teams.
Leverage existing relationships and new client and consultant relationships in the pursuit of new work.
Actively participate in professional societies, organizations, and conferences by serving on boards, presenting at luncheons or conferences.


Qualifications




Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Active PE License in Ohio or ability to obtain an Ohio PE license within in one year of hire.
5-15 years of experience in transportation design (strong preference for roadway experience).
Must be able to travel 25-30% to client sites.
Knowledge of ODOT Project Development Process, construction documentation & administration and knowledge in state, local municipalities design process is a plus.
Bentley Open Road Designer or Civil3D experience.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals.
